Can Modern Classrooms Teach Cursive?
We often hear from educators who fear that, if they launch a Modern Classrooms, then their students will just spend all class in front of their screens.
This isn't the case! If you visit a Modern Classroom, you'll see that instructional videos are just one mode of instruction among many. (In fact, our model is closely aligned with research-based best practices around screen time.) Yet the concern persists.
One way to keep students off-screen, of course, is to teach them a skill that sends them directly to paper and pen: cursive!
