Headshot of Paul O'Donoghue

Paul O'Donoghue (He/Him)
Educator Support Manager

Paul O'Donoghue is a former secondary mathematics teacher with passions for mastery based grading, inquiry learning, and self-paced curriculums. After attending High Point University in North Carolina and returning to his home state of Massachusetts to teach high school math, Paul discovered the Modern Classrooms Project and began implementing self-paced, mastery learning in all of his classes.

A self-described lifelong learner, Paul became a Distinguished Modern Classrooms Educator and Expert Mentor, dedicating time outside of teaching to coach new Modern Classrooms educators in their journeys to self-paced classrooms. As an Educator Support Manager, he continues to live that passion of working alongside teachers as they reinvent their instructional and assessment practices.

Outside of his dream job with Modern Classrooms, Paul and his family spent three years in Michigan and currently live in New Haven, Connecticut. He is often running with his wife while they push their son in a stroller, exploring coffee shops and finding ice cream in walkable neighborhoods, and rooting for the Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins, and Celtics.
