Allison Vanterpool
Director of Marketing and Revenue Operations

After graduating from The University of Alabama with a degree in public relations, Allison dove into a career in education. She started her career as a high school science teacher with Teach for America-Alabama, where she developed a curiosity and passion for bringing innovation to her classroom. Following a three-year commitment in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Allison joined the City Year team in Jacksonville, Florida. There, she coached AmeriCorps Members to support high school students with reading and math intervention. Later on, she joined the KIPP network and spent six years in KIPP Jacksonville and KIPP DC, recruiting and hiring educators in grades K-12. Allison now lives in Washington, DC, with her husband. You can find her traveling, enjoying local art, trying new recipes, and growing her indoor plant collection in her spare time.
