Kaya Monsen
Math Curriculum & Support Manager

Before joining Modern Classrooms, Kaya spent five years teaching high school math in Kansas City and St. Louis. Her classroom experience, along with an additional year as a math specialist, gives her a solid understanding of the challenges and opportunities in math education.

Kaya holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education & Mathematics from St. Louis University, a Master of Education in Educational, School, & Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri, and a Master of Science in Curriculum & Instruction from Western Governors University. She is excited about continuing to lead efforts to make math education more collaborative and responsive to individual student needs.

Kaya currently lives in St. Louis, MO. Outside of work, she is an avid cooker and baker, and enjoys long-distance running, backpacking, hiking, and exploring the beautiful outdoors.
